This page shows the library-related technology I have used in my graduate training and internships.

The technology courses linked to the LS program have been invaluable to me. I have applied the knowledge taken from these courses to my classroom as well as throughout my LS internship. I have used MS office programs to build a collection database for the Lexington Log Cabins. I created a self guided Word tutorial in  Instructional Design and Library Media using Powerpoint and a program called Snag It. This tutorial can be used in teaching children and adults how to use Word. I have evaluated a number of websites and compiled several webliographies which have taught me to be critical of web sources. Computer Science Applications gave me a remarkable overview of a variety of automation systems. The automation research project from that class allowed me to see side by side comparisons of automation companies and the services they provide. One of the most important lessons I learned from this class is how to build a webpage, which has helped a great deal while compiling this portfolio
