Tina Woodward Library Science Internship Log Sunday – Monday October 9th and 10th I spent 4 hours on Sunday and 4 hours on Monday with my list of books to catalogue from the Log Cabins and Heritage Society.
It is taking me a long time to locate call numbers for these books because I am finding that many of them are not in the LOC
database, or they are unavailable for some reason. On Monday, I began cruising other library catalogs to find the books that
were not available for whatever reason through LOC. I had some success with this, but it is going to take forever because
one catalog might have one or two books and I am in need of many! I spent these last two days on my computer at home, hopefully
I will go to the Heritage Center next weekend and talk to someone about how they want me to label the books and what database
or computer program they have for me to put this information in. 8 Hours Total: 110 of 130 |
